Breastfeeding May Strengthen Lungs

A new study has found that breastfeeding may encourage stronger lungs in babies. The U.S study found of the 1500, 10 year old kids who have been tested since birth; those who were breastfed for at least the first four months of their lives had much better functioning lungs.

From the study, researchers suggest that this means that breastfed babies are less likely to develop things like asthma and other breathing problems.

It was also suggested that the actual sucking action of getting milk while breastfeeding, which is estimated to be three times hard than the action to get formula milk from a baby bottle, may be a big contributing factor in the strength of lungs.
